Vietnam's interbank overnight rate plunged from 7% to 2.5% after the State Bank of Vietnam expanded liquidity support via OMO and a USD 2 billion FX swap, easing VND liquidity pressure.
Interbank VND overnight rates jumped 2.5 percentage points to 7.0% on September 21, prompting the State Bank of Vietnam to inject a net ~47,915 billion VND via open market operations and reopen a 7-day FX swap channel with a maximum size of 2 billion USD.
